Hyundai took the lead in the Rally Sardinia with Adrien Fourmaux leading teammate Thierry Neuville and Toyota’s Sebastien Ogier in third after the Friday morning stages. Fourmaux’s solid performance helped Hyundai secure the front position after stage three, showcasing his strong start to the rally. Meanwhile, eight-time world champion Ogier was content with his run, despite starting third on the road. M-Sport faced a nightmare with a triple retirement, including a roll for Martins Sesks, impacting their chances in the race. Toyota’s Sami Pajari also faced challenges, dropping to fifth after a puncture in stage three. M-Sport is hoping for the return of two out of their three cars for the following day after the unexpected setbacks on stage two.
